Birch Point Dental Clinic seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice on a part-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional patient care. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilized. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management of dental supplies.

Skills

Proficiency in Dental Assisting techniques and practices. Experience in a dental receptionist role is a plus. Familiarity with dental software systems. Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Tuesday 8:30 AM - 4:40 PM Wednesday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Thursday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
