Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on pediatric and orthodontic dentistry, utilizing advanced dental technology and software. Experience with Dentrix and digital imaging systems is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and dental assisting procedures.

Duties



Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies for patient procedures Assist dentists during various treatments, including orthodontics and pediatrics, ensuring patient comfort and safety Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and radiograph sensors, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Take x-rays and perform digital imaging using CAD technology when required Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment in compliance with health regulations Support the team with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment

Qualifications



Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from an accredited program Prior experience working in a dental office, preferably with pediatric or orthodontic specialties Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry Familiarity with CAD systems used for digital impressions or lab work is a plus Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
