We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care. Perform administrative tasks as needed, including managing inventory and ordering supplies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with medical terminology is a plus. Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, or CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to dental assisting are preferred.
