Job Overview

We are seeking a new graduate,dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic kid friendly dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas according to safety protocols. Support orthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tasks when necessary. Provide assistance in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Handle medical terminology accurately to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within the dental field is preferred. Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Epic and Dentrix, is highly desirable. Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
