We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as proficiency in dental software systems. The Dental Assistant will ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive patient experience.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with supplies Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed Record patient medical histories and maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits, including follow-ups for orthodontics or pediatric care Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient flow and communication

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics being a plus Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and treatment plans Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred
