Dental Assistant
Job Description
:
The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the direct supervision of a dentist. This role involves preparing patients for dental procedures, assisting the dentist during procedures, and performing administrative tasks related to patient care.
Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, operating suction devices, and ensuring the patient's comfort.
Clean, disinfect, and prepare treatment rooms between patients. Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control standards.
Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist and perform other lab activities.
Provide post-operative instructions to patients and educate them on proper oral hygiene practices.
Schedule appointments, manage patient records, handle billing and payments, and perform other front-office duties as needed.
Monitor and maintain dental supplies and equipment, ensuring they are adequately stocked and in good working condition.
Adhere to all safety, health, and dental practice regulations and protocols.
Qualifications
Experience using dental practice management software.
4 years experience in a dental office.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification from an accredited dental assistant program.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
