Job Description

We are looking for a Part-time/Full-Time Level II Certified Dental Assistant who is organized, dedicated and team-oriented to join our dental family! Our dental office is family-oriented and our team is friendly and caring. We take pride in the relationships we create with our patients. This role requires a positive teamwork attitude, good communication skills and attention to detail.

WE ARE OFFERING:

Full time/ Part time

$25.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience

THE POSITION

The Dental Assistant is responsible for the smooth operation of back office, maximizing and maintaining a high level of professionalism and a personal image that upholds the dental office standards of integrity, quality, and providing excellent customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome patients into the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort Maintain electronic records and ensure accuracy of patient information Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed Chairside assistance during consultations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Assisting with charting, basic restorative, crown and bridge, oral and perio surgery, endo, and other procedures Assist the hygienist during periodontal probing Room set-up and clean-up Sterilization and processing of instruments Taking digital Radiographs and Intra oral photographs Laboratory duties may include preparing models, taking impressions, organizing cases Accurate and appropriate patient record keeping Provide pre-scripted post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

The candidate should have a Level II Dental Assistant certification:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Minimum 2 years of Dental Assisting experience Itero scanning skills will be an asset Dedicated team player Reliable Commitment to job and career Highly organized Able to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written)
