Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols. Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice. Perform administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; however, we welcome candidates eager to learn. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment is essential. Familiarity with dental software such as OPENDENTAL is a plus. Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is advantageous but not required. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is preferred.
