Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, ensuring smooth operations within the practice while delivering exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and update information in dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with orthodontics and pediatrics when necessary. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas in compliance with health regulations. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix and Epic, is preferred. Familiarity with orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and team members professionally. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when required. Pay: $18.70-$25.00 per hour
