Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting our dental team with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare patients for treatments by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area to adhere to safety protocols. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently, including handling inquiries related to orthodontics or pediatrics. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient experience.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable. Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients of all ages. Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications related to dental practices is advantageous. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
