Instruction Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Day Classes:
9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
Deliver engaging, well-structured instruction for the Dental Administration program
Teach core topics such as dental office procedures, patient communication, billing, scheduling, records management, and relevant software
Adapt teaching methods to support diverse learners, including those with varying English and technical proficiency
Assess student learning through assignments, tests, and practical activities
Curriculum Development
Develop instructional content, program materials, activities, and assessments
Ensure course delivery aligns with program outcomes and regulatory requirements
Continuously refine materials based on student needs and program feedback
Student Support & Progress Monitoring
Support students' academic progress through clear instruction, timely feedback, and approachability
Identify students who may be struggling and work collaboratively with the academic team to provide support
Maintain accurate academic records and documentation as required
Collaboration & Team Engagement
Work closely with academic advisors, coordinators, and support staff to ensure a smooth student experience
Participate in meetings, planning discussions, and program improvement initiatives
Contribute positively to a respectful, supportive, and solutions-oriented team culture
Qualifications & Requirements:
Degree or Diploma
in Dental Administration or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience
in dental administration or a related dental office role.
Previous teaching or training experience
(post-secondary or adult education experience preferred).
Strong understanding of Canadian dental care systems
, practices, policies, and regulations.
Proficiency in relevant software
(e.g., dental practice management software, MS Office, or other healthcare admin tools).
Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills
.
Experience with
student-centred learning, adult learners, and diverse student populations
is an asset.
