Reporting to the Manager, Demand Planning, the successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy and detail. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a "can doaEUR attitude. Responsible for developing the demand plan at the level required to support Integrated Business Planning Process and Supply Chain Planning. Working with various stakeholders, the successful candidate will communicate plan changes and develop scenarios using multiple inputs and analysis.

Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • University degree or College diploma or equivalent experience in business;
  • Knowledge of forecasting techniques and developing forecasting models;
  • Background in statistics or math;
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to coordinate working with a team and various departments;
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
  • Quality of analysis to support critical business decision making;
  • Previous experience in MRP/ERP systems, production control & inventory management will be considered an asset;
  • Experience in programming MS Excel Macros would be considered an asset;
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required;
  • Experience using Cognos and Forecasting System would be considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the demand plan at the aggregate level and item level based on changes to assumptions, risks, opportunities and uncertainties;
  • Update and create new scenarios as needed or requested;
  • Identify, investigate, and communicate changes to demand as necessary;
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to discuss implication of inputs from Sales and Marketing on Demand such as Market, Innovation, Media Calendar;
  • Evaluate metrics of Demand Plan Accuracy and develop root cause analysis;
  • Discussing issues, concerns related to the Demand Plan;
  • Analyze Forecast trends;
  • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, ensuring forecasting processes and methods are followed;
  • Design and generate weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports;
  • Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method and approach;
  • Relate and measure the impact of forecast accuracy;
  • Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems;
  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions)
  • Make recommended adjustments to forecast and on changes in demand and market trends;
  • Prepare, report and communicate forecast measurement to management;
  • Maintain the system and historical database.
