Job Description

We are currently seeking a Demand Planner for our Seeds team in Canada. As the Demand Planner, you will manage inventory availability, and make inventory, order, and allocation recommendations to the business. This position has a flexible work location and can be based in London, ON, or remotely across Canada. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract position.What you will be doing?

• Manage packaging against allocations by product SKU and Treatment
• Communicate Swap process and Subs/Cuts process
• Pursue inventory discrepancies and tie out to annual inventory provision impact
• Make recommendations on inventory treatment plan, packaging, orders and allocations
• Support the Demand functions within Syngenta Seeds as they relate to short-term demand planning, allocations, inventory control measures, and forecasting processes
• Review Brand supply numbers with the Supply Planner, and manage availability
• Review allocations, direct order changes, and enter allocation changes in appropriate systems
• Communicate changes to Commercial Operations and field staff as required.

QualificationsRequirements

• Post secondary education in Agriculture/Business/Operations
• Good working knowledge of agricultural, crop protection and ,seed industry including growers anddistribution channels
• Working knowledge of internal systems for implementation, management and measurement.
• Financial acumen
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, negotiating, analytical, problem-solving/decision making and teamwork
• Experience in seed related to customer service, production, and supply, or seed logistics
• Expert knowledge of Excel
