Job Description

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years' progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management with related experience in purchasing, logistics and inventory management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Hands-on experience with demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau). SAP implementation
Understanding of Supply Chain Operations - A deep understanding of the entire supply chain, from raw material sourcing to product delivery, and how demand planning impacts each stage.
Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management - Guiding procurers in developing new suppliers and managing relationships, which is critical for sourcing unique or high-quality materials
Collaboration and Teamwork - The ability to work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve shared goals.
Leadership and Influence - The capacity to lead a demand planning team (if applicable), influence decision-making across departments, and drive consensus on demand forecasts.
Adaptability and Agility - The ability to respond quickly to changes in market conditions, customer demand, and unforeseen disruptions, adjusting plans accordingly.
Business Acumen - A solid understanding of business principles, market dynamics, and financial implications of demand planning decisions.
Customer Focus - A commitment to understanding customer needs and ensuring that demand plans align with customer expectations and service level agreements.
Decision-Making - The ability to make informed and timely decisions based on data, analysis, and strategic objectives.
Digital Transformation and Predictive Analytics - Driving the adoption of technological advancements like predictive analytics to enhance supply chain efficiency and decision-making
Risk Management - Identifying potential risks in demand forecasting and supply and developing mitigation strategies.
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement - A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for enhancing demand planning processes and tools. Initiating and leading continuous improvement projects to foster cost savings and efficiency, while maintaining the artisanal quality
