This includes managing end-to-end project lifecycles, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the delivery of new features, enhancements, and system integrations align with business objectives. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to define requirements, manage resources, mitigate risks, and ensure the timely and high-quality execution of initiatives. The Delivery Manager will drive continuous improvements, support change management, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the core banking domain.This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work in-office at least once a week.A typical day would involve:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of core banking projects.
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Manage project scope, resources, and risks effectively.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to define project goals, gather requirements, and manage expectations.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (development, operations, business, and vendors) to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring team members have the resources and support they need to succeed.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project delivery.
  • Resolve issues quickly and efficiently to avoid delays or disruptions.
  • Ensure the core banking platform complies with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Oversee quality control processes, ensuring that the delivered solutions meet business and technical requirements.
You have:
  • 8+ years of related work experience, in core banking projects and delivery.
  • Experience in financial institutions or banking is an asset, including understanding of banking regulations, security standards, and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Strong understanding of both agile and waterfall delivery models
  • Strong expertise in leading complex IT projects, ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within-budget.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems, software development processes, and system integrations.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage expectations, align priorities, and ensure clear and consistent updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to prevent project delays or failures.
  • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills to address technical and operational challenges quickly.
  • Ability to navigate changing priorities and project scopes, managing uncertainty in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendors and ensuring the timely delivery of external services or products.

  • Problem solver and decision-maker You lead diagnosis of project challenges, find innovative business solutions, and assess risks and opportunities. You make timely decisions.

Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity.
