Position Summary - Delivery & Installation Helper

We are seeking a reliable, organized Delivery & Installation Helper to join our installation team. In this role you will transport materials and finished products using a company high?roof van, assist with the installation of custom closets and storage systems, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. You must be physically able to lift heavy boards, navigate stairs, and handle tools. Starting pay ranges from

$18-$22 per hour

, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a high?roof van to deliver boards, cabinets and hardware to job sites, following delivery schedules and routes. Load and unload materials; lift and carry items up to approximately 50 lb and move them through job sites. Keep accurate records of deliveries and maintain the van in a clean, organized condition. Assist the installation technician with measuring, cutting or building closet/cabinet components and hanging shelves. Help install closet systems and storage solutions according to design specifications, using hand and power tools. Read simple design drawings and match parts to the correct assemblies. Perform basic carpentry tasks such as affixing hinges and drawer slides, caulking, finishing surfaces and cleaning up job sites. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area; assist with shop/factory work or other duties as assigned. Interact courteously with customers and coworkers, maintaining a professional appearance and communication. Collaborate with installers to complete projects on schedule and learn new skills with the goal of advancing within the company.

Required Qualifications

Valid driver's licence and clean driving record; must be able to safely drive a high?roof van. Able to lift and carry about 50 lb, move materials up stairs and stand for long periods. Experience with hand and power tools; ability to read and interpret design drawings. Organized and detail?oriented; able to keep workspaces and vehicles tidy. Professional appearance and demeanour with good communication skills. Willingness to occasionally work weekends or overtime to meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in carpentry, cabinet or closet installation, or construction. Familiarity with GPS navigation and Metro Vancouver roadways. Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and grow.

Compensation

Hourly rate:

$18-$22

, depending on experience and skill level. Opportunities for on?the?job training and career growth into an Installer or Lead Installer role.
