Job Title: Multi-Role Team Member (General Labour)

Job Overview:

We are a family-owned small business seeking a versatile and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Multi-Role Team Member. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, computer literacy, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a valid driver's license. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, managing warehouse operations, handling deliveries, and adapting to various tasks as needed in our dynamic business setting.

Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Greet customers in a friendly manner and provide assistance with their inquiries or orders. Input and process customer orders accurately into the computer system. Pick and pack products from the stockroom or warehouse, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Assist customers with loading their vehicles or coordinate delivery to customer sites. Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver products to customer locations in a timely manner. Adapt to and assist with various tasks, such as inventory management, merchandising, or other operational duties, as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while handling merchandise, operating equipment, and driving.

Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Proficiency in computer applications and basic knowledge of inventory management systems. Quick learner who can adapt to new procedures and technologies. Ability to work under time-sensitive pressure and meet deadlines. Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) without assistance. Self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Prior experience in customer service, warehousing, delivery driving, or a related field is preferred but not required. Flexibility and willingness to wear multiple 'hats' within a family-owned small business environment.

Working Conditions:

The role requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects for extended periods. Delivery driving duties will involve driving on public roads, following traffic rules, and occasionally lifting and maneuvering large packages. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to accommodate customer demands.
