Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to operate different types of vehicles and equipment. A successful Delivery Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles,

including a 53 ft trucks

, to transport goods to designated locations. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring all items are secured properly during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, shipper, receiver and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Assist in the operation of forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading materials. Assist warehouse team (

) - with organizing inventory, moving products, and maintaining cleanliness in the facility.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type.

Valid AZ / DZ license (air brake endorsement required)

Must be able to drive standard (manual) transmission

. Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and best practices for transportation logistics. Basic automotive repair skills are a plus, enabling quick troubleshooting of vehicle issues on the road. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.

A valid forklift License

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively. Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
