Huyck Industrials Ltd provides manufacturing companies with a wide range of industrial supplies and specializes in coatings.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in a timely, safe, and professional manner. In addition to driving duties, this position includes some additional responsibilities to support our operations. Full-time:

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to commercial customers.

Daily deliveries and pickups within the lower mainland by van.

Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, meeting customer expectations for quality and service. Complete company pick-ups as required during the route.

Maintain customer stock levels on site as required (vendor-managed inventory services)

and enter customer orders for items requiring replenishment. Maintain an accurate delivery log and submit any required paperwork. Assist with loading and unloading products, ensuring that items are delivered in good condition. Maintain a clean driving record and follow all traffic laws and safety procedures.

Additional Duties:

Customer Service:

Greet customers upon delivery, ensuring a friendly, positive, and professional interaction. Address customer questions or concerns regarding products, orders, or services.

Warehouse Duties:

Assist with stocking inventory, order picking, receiving orders and general duties as required.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles, reporting any issues, damages, or maintenance needs. Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order.

Order Preparation:

Help with packing and preparing orders in the warehouse or distribution center before delivery.

Administrative Support:

Assist in maintaining delivery logs, collecting payments (if necessary), and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Additional duties as required

Requirements:

Be legally entitled to work in Canada and reside in the Lower Mainland. Achievement of Grade 12 Diploma. English - Fluent speaking, reading and written. Valid Class 5 driver's license - Minimum 2 years driving with clean record. No smoking permitted in company vehicles. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Adhere to WCB safety protocols governed by Huyck as well as Customer / Vendor specific policies

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with local area/routes. Experience with inventory management or warehouse operations. Class 1 drivers license considered an asset.
