Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have experience in delivery driving, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various types of vehicles.

Duties

Safely operate a box truck or other delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products, ensuring that all items are secure and handled with care. Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining timely deliveries. Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficiency in driving skills. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading tasks when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, including familiarity with inventory systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and engage in physical activity throughout the day. Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation systems is essential. Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred but not required. Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks is beneficial for loading and unloading tasks.
