DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Delivery Services:
Safely operate a box truck following Highway Traffic Act regulations, including completing daily logs and vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections using Motive (ELD). Safely and efficiently deliver industrial supplies, lubricant products, and bulk oil to various locations throughout the greater Montreal and Ottawa region. Maintain a thorough understanding of and strictly adhere to the Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations to ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials. Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies like breakdowns, spills, or bad weather. Complete and submit TDG documents, Bills of Lading, delivery tickets and trip summaries to the Dispatcher and immediate supervisor within hour of the end of each shift. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and addressing customer concerns professionally.
Warehouse Operations and Documentation:
Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments of industrial supplies and lubricants and record the information in the computerized inventory system. Prepare orders and shipping documents for delivery. Complete regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies. Maintain the warehouse for safety and proper function.
Preparation of DEF product:
Adhere to all work instructions, safety protocols, and formula to produce DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid). Measure, combine, and mix ingredients to for DEF production.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Location
: Must live in Montreal, Quebec, or other nearby areas.
Typical schedule
: On-site position.Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week (may require overtime, out of town delivery schedule and recurrent out-of-town overnight stays).
Travel Requirements:
80% travelling to complete deliveries.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
License and Certificatio
n: Valid Class 3 driver's license and clean drivers abstract required.
Physical Requirements
: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must have the physical capabilities and strength for lifting and carrying various-sized lubricant containers, along with the agility to operate equipment during loading and unloading. The job also demands stamina for long hours of driving, manual dexterity for tasks such as connecting hoses, and the ability to navigate diverse weather conditions and climbing situations.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in warehouse and truck driving preferred.
Technology:
Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and the use of a smart phone to conduct basic administrative tasks.
Additional Skills:
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. Computer literacy, ability to use a pallet jack, working proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication), strong organizational and communication skills both verbal and written in French and English, capacity to multitask, physically agile and mentally alert, and able to work independently with a safety- first attitude.
