Duties

Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, handling heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury. Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure on-time arrivals at multiple customer locations. Deliver products directly to customers' doors, verifying orders and obtaining signatures when required. Provide outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a professional demeanor during all interactions. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance needs immediately. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records for accountability and reporting purposes. Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and supporting team members as needed. Operate equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks safely when required for loading or unloading cargo. Follow company policies regarding load securing, safety protocols, and route driving procedures to ensure safe operations at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong focus on customer service. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely. Experience handling heavy lifting, moving items within warehouses or customer locations using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with inventory management and loading procedures. Knowledge of route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency. Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude toward customers and team members alike. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
