We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license, familiarity with commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. The Delivery Driver plays a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when required.
Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on schedule, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, utilizing skills in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair if necessary.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for compliance purposes.
Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage during transportation.
Requirements
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred.
Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or freight handling is advantageous.
Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for vehicle maintenance needs.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently when required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate delivery documentation.
Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations.
Must pass background checks and comply with all safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.85-$18.35 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
