Toronto based food company, making deliveries Monday to Friday mornings.
We are looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods from our warehouse to customer locations. This role requires a valid driver's license, excellent driving skills, the ability to follow directions, and attention to detail.
In order to be eligible for this role, you must have a clean driving record (no at fault-accidents and no tickets) in the past 5 years. This is the insurance company's standards, not ours. Having at least 3 years of commercial driving experience is a plus.
The Delivery Driver must be able to interact with customers in a professional manner and must be kind to all customers.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload items from the vehicle (items are light in weight)
Drive a vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
Follow delivery instructions and routes
Deliver proper merchandise to stores, offices and homes
Ensure deliveries are made on time - punctuality is very important
Obtain and keep the proof of delivery (which you will give back to us)
Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor
Park in designated areas such as delivery zones, loading docks etc.
Communicate with customers, and follow the route times when applicable (sometimes there are time sensititive deliveries and it is important to have time management skills)
Starting time may vary based on the designated route for the day, however it is usually around 7am. We are located at Dufferin and Dupont in Toronto. You will be driver around Toronto & GTA mostly.
