Job Summary

LDB is looking for a reliable and motivated individual for the position of Delivery Driver. The Delivery Driver will be required to deliver an approximate volume of 160-250 parcels daily in the St John's area & surroundings. This role requires excellent driving skills, basic English, and top notch customer service skills. LDB will provide an assigned vehicle after providing training.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to deliver parcels to designated locations in a timely manner. Scan, load and unload parcels, ensuring all items are secured & organized properly. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations & LDB policy. Depending on the size & weight of a parcel, Delivery Drivers must be able to perform physical tasks & heavy lifting on a daily basis. Communicate effectively with CSR dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues for the duration of the route. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Requirements

Valid Full G/ Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record. Cargo van driving experience is a advantageous. Must have basic English. Must be able to work in Canada/valid work permit. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to work a minimum of 5 days a week (including weekends) with rotation. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast pace environment. Must be flexible with work days & hours. Our starting time may vary due to parcel volume & warehouse schedule. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as required during deliveries. A commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures while on the job.
