Bureau Veritas is looking for a

DELIVERY DRIVER / SHIPPER-RECEIVER

This is a Full-Time position with Medical Benefits and Retirement Savings Plan



As a Delivery Driver / Shipper-Receiver, your responsibilities are:

Providing pick-up and delivery services for parcels, samples, mail, and other materials to various Bureau Veritas sites and customer locations. Handle the receiving, labeling, packing, disposal and shipping of sample bottles and containers to clients in a timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for duties assigned Ensure safe and timely delivery of samples, orders, and other materials to and from customers Maintain assigned vehicle in proper working order Perform dispatch duties as required Work with minimal supervision Dispose of all types of lab samples and maintain records Heat-treat samples using an oven and keep records Chemically treat wastewater for disposal Receiving, labeling, packing, and shipping sample bottles and containers Maintain inventory of glassware, preservatives, and dispensing apparatus Research shipping methods to find the most cost-effective and timely routes Ensure all samples and hazardous chemicals are shipped in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods legislation Keep records of all incoming and outgoing shipments of sample bottles and containers Maintain communication with personnel at other locations to ensure consistency Meet quality and turnaround time specifications required by clients Provide supervisor with updates on workstation status and any delays Other duties as assigned.


You are an ideal Delivery Driver / Shipper-Receiver if you have [Minimum Requirements]:High School Diploma Must possess a valid full driver's license and have a good driving record (Copy of current drivers abstract from Ministry of Transportation is required). Excellent knowledge of the local area Dispatch experience an asset Knowledge of WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods an asset Background in shipping/receiving an asset Computer skills an asset Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments Strong problem-solving skills Knowledge of, and experience with laboratory Occupational Health and Safety practices to handle hazardous materials by taking the necessary precautions. Positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
