About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver with a valid G-class license to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, while ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate company 5-ton 26' straight truck in compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues to the warehouse manager.
Load and unload cargo when required, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
Use pallet jack or hand bomb items as required.
Maintain accurate logs of mileage, deliveries, and fuel consumption.
Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to traffic or weather conditions.
Provide excellent customer service during pick-ups and drop-offs.
Adhere to all safety policies and workplace regulations.
Work directly with the warehouse manager and the office manager to arrange delivery schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid
G-class driver's license
with a clean driving record.
Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience on 3 or 5 ton straight trucks.
Good knowledge of local routes, roads, and traffic patterns within the G.T.A.
Physically fit; able to lift, load, and unload packages when required.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or transportation.
Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
