Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring that items are secured and protected during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any questions or concerns from clients during deliveries.

Skills

Experience in freight handling and logistics management is preferred. Commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license is required. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair for minor vehicle maintenance tasks. Forklift operation skills are advantageous for loading and unloading freight efficiently. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
