We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle, including basic automotive repairs as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driver's license suitable for the vehicle type being operated. Knowledge of automotive repair techniques is a plus, enabling quick fixes on the road when necessary. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, particularly in loading and unloading freight efficiently. Experience operating forklifts safely and effectively is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
