Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficient driving, and proper handling of freight and equipment. Prior experience with commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair is a plus.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated locations Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company standards Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance or repairs as needed Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management or freight handling when required

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or freight handling preferred Knowledge of automotive repair or maintenance is a plus Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely over long distances or in urban environments Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Prior experience in freight transportation or logistics is advantageous
