Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of structural steel and related materials between Red Deer and Edmonton. This is a casual position, with 2-3 scheduled workdays per week, depending on workload. The role involves operating a single Freightliner truck to transport materials.

1. Responsibilities:

Maintain excellent attendance record Load, transport, and deliver items to clients in a safe and timely manner Complete accurate daily logs per trip Complete daily pre-use inspections of equipment Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete Manage pick up and load delivery paperwork accordingly Assist with loading and unloading Adhere to assigned routes and follow delivery and pick up schedules Abide by all transportation laws i.e. log book, load securement and load checks Maintain a safe driving record Safe operation of overhead crane and mobile equipment for material movement

2. Requirements/Qualifications

Class 1 license Clean drivers abstract Ability to assess weights, judge distances and heights Must have good time management, organization and people skills Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs. Sitting for long periods of time Able to work independently or as part of a team Ability to speak, read, write and understand English clearly Possess problem solving skills Mechanically inclined, ability to perform light maintenance and repairs to truck and trailer

3. Health & Safety Responsibilities:

Active participation in company safety program Follow safety protocol including wearing of required PPE and understanding and application of safety policies, procedures and practices

$28.00-$34.00 per hour

, with final rates determined by your experience, skill level, and how well you align with the role. We appreciate dedication and commitment, and we conduct thorough performance reviews after three months and annually to acknowledge outstanding work and support employee growth.
