Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license, familiarity with commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. The Delivery Driver plays a vital part in our logistics operations, ensuring products reach clients efficiently and in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts when required Plan efficient delivery routes to meet scheduling deadlines Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, utilizing heavy equipment or forklifts as needed Ensure all deliveries are accurate and complete, verifying quantities and documentation Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if necessary to ensure vehicle safety

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Experience in commercial driving or freight delivery preferred Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other industrial machinery Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting vehicle issues Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively Physical ability to lift heavy freight and perform manual loading/unloading tasks Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
