Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely deliver packages to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various skills including commercial driving.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including transit vans, to transport packages to designated locations. Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols. Verify delivery orders and ensure accuracy of shipments before departure. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting if required, maintaining the vehicle's condition.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or Class 5 or required based on the vehicle type. Experience in delivering packages is highly desirable. Knowledge of automotive repair or troubleshooting is beneficial. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for verifying shipments and documentation. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers. Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures, and adhere to schedules. This position is vital for ensuring the smooth delivery of packages while maintaining safety standards across all operations.

Pay: $380.00-$400.00 per day

Kelowna, BC (V1Y): reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
