Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and utilize specialized skills such as forklift operation and automotive repair.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated destinations. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule. Inspect vehicles regularly for safety and maintenance needs; perform basic automotive repairs if qualified. Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including receipts, delivery logs, and route sheets. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or issues. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities. Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management or freight handling when required.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving or freight delivery preferred. Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus. Automotive repair skills are desirable for vehicle maintenance tasks. Prior experience operating large vehicles or commercial trucks is advantageous. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
