Our Delivery Driver role is one of the most important positions on our team. You are the person who ensures that our beer arrives fresh, safe, and on time. You represent Gladstone Brewing Co. on the road, building trust with our customers and keeping our operations running smoothly. The Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting beer and other products to various locations while ensuring safe, timely, and professional delivery. The position requires strong driving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to handle and operate heavy equipment when needed.
This is a part-time position with an alternating weekly schedule that keeps the work varied and engaging.
Schedule Overview
Week 1
Wednesday - South Island (Victoria & surrounding area)
Thursday - North Island & Comox
Friday - Courtenay, Cumberland, Oceanside & Nanaimo
Week 2
Thursday - North Island, Comox & Quadra Island
Friday - Courtenay, Cumberland, Oceanside & Nanaimo
Note: The Victoria delivery run can be a long day with significant driving, but it is essential and must be completed every two weeks.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport beer and other goods across Vancouver Island.
Load and unload kegs, cases, and equipment with care to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage and fuel usage.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
Assist in the operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment when required.
Skills and Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Proficient driving skills, comfortable with long driving days and ferry travel.
Experience with freight handling and logistics preferred.
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety protocols an asset.
Basic automotive repair skills are a plus.
Physically able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills for positive customer interactions.
