Delivery Driver (Shipping & Receiving) - Days

Summary

Vision Truck Group is currently seeking a full-time Delivery Driver (Shipping & Receiving) to expand our Cambridge team.

Responsibilities

Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, wholesale accounts, and vendors. Checks with the Parts Manager, Outside Parts Sales Representative, Parts Counter People or Shipping & Receiving Clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries. Loads parts deliveries in delivery vehicle accordingly. When picking up parts orders from vendors, verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up. Check's payments received with the invoices for each delivery. Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, and requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry. Unloads truck each night, turns in all paperwork, and ensures undelivered parts are reported to appropriate staff. Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed. Advises Parts Manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance. Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department. Helps clean all company vehicles during downtime. Helps to stock shelves/racks with parts during downtime. Maintains professional appearance. Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

Able to physically move moderately heavy items. Ability to drive various types of vehicles, though you will be driving a Hino the majority of the time. Willing to complete forklift certification to move skids and other items around. Ability to work well with others.

Qualifications

Must have a valid DZ license. AZ license considered an asset. Must have and maintain a clean Driver's Abstract while employed with the company. Previous experience in a similar role considered an asset.

Pay: $26.52 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
