Overview

Laser Metal is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with large commercial vehicles and possess skills in forklift operation and a clean driving abstract. Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery trucks and commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures. Inspect vehicles daily for maintenance issues Navigate routes efficiently, adhering to delivery schedules and traffic regulations. Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests, invoices, and delivery receipts. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading cargo in warehouse or dock settings.

Experience

Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields is required. Skills in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling are highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to do physical and repetitive tasks Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing delivery documentation. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service, with the flexibility to handle various operational tasks associated with freight delivery.
