We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as the ability to handle freight and make deliveries in and around the downtown core (Toronto).
Responsibilities
Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Perform basic maintenance on delivery vehicles when necessary.
Experience
Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety protocols is essential.
