Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving and possess skills in operating heavy equipment. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential for this position.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and goods to designated locations Ensure all deliveries are made on time while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, utilizing appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, logs, and delivery confirmations Perform basic vehicle maintenance or repairs as needed, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure Communicate effectively with customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise during transit

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery services Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
