We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to uphold our company's reputation for dependable service.
Duties
Safely operate delivery vehicles, including commercial trucks and vans, to transport freight and packages to designated locations.
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and heavy equipment when necessary.
Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and maps, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment or forklifts as needed for loading or unloading cargo.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip.
Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting if required to ensure vehicle operability.
Qualifications
Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and route planning.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Ability to lift heavy packages or freight regularly and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.85-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
