Seeking a skilled part time Truck Driver to pick up on extra work as well as provide relief for company owner, could possibly lead to full time down the road if desired

Ideal for someone that is semi retired or has a business or farm, that prevents having a full time 9-5 job.

Flexible work days, however route starts at 6am rain or shine, normally finishes at around 2pm

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently from Williams lake BC to semi remote mine sites in the Cariboo, typically around 1 hour from town

This role requires a strong commitment to safety, effective communication, and the ability to handle some heavy lifting as well as using a pallet jack (powered unit will be provided). All pallets will be under 3,000lbs as Per delivery contract

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to mine site, return Items to vendors and warehouses in town Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, utilizing space efficiently using proper techniques for heavy lifting. Communicate effectively with vendors, warehouse staff, and customers Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage. Adhere to all traffic laws and mines act regulations while ensuring the safe operation of the vehicles

Requirements

Valid class 5 license Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record Must be able to pass drug and alcohol test Must be in good standing with local mine LPO offices, no Criminal record Ability to occasionally lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to comply with all safety policies Including PPE and three points of contact rule

Pay: $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
