We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Manager to oversee our delicatessen food service operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on food preparation, cheeses, cured meats, olives, and customer service. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage food preparation processes to maintain quality and consistency.
Supervise staff, providing training and support to enhance team performance.
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
Conduct interviews and hire new team members as needed.
Maintain inventory levels and order supplies to ensure smooth operations.
Foster a positive experience for customers through excellent service.
Implement food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall hospitality services.
Experience
Proven experience in deli management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong background in food preparation operations.
Experience with team management and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential.
Previous experience in supervising staff, interviewing, and training new employees is preferred.
