We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving high-quality deli products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a commitment to food safety and the ability to work effectively in a team. Your leadership skills will help create a positive atmosphere for both customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and answering questions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and displays. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Support training of new staff members in food preparation techniques and customer service protocols. Uphold company policies regarding health, safety, and sanitation.

Experience

Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations. Experience in cash handling and customer service roles is beneficial. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members. A proactive attitude towards helping others and ensuring customer satisfaction.
