We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving deli products. Duties

Prepare and serve deli items, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, sweets and hot food while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Sanitize work areas and equipment regularly to maintain a clean and safe environment. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for cash handling and processing customer transactions accurately. Engage with customers by upselling products and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and assisting with ordering and receiving product. Assist in store operations, including stocking product and processing customer transactions. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Train and coach new/previous hires as required Maintain a high standard of service and excellence at all times
Requirements

Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately. Experience in cashiering or cash handling preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to deli operations. Some supervisory experience is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
