Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience by maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their deli orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations. Prepare and slice meats, cheeses, and other deli items according to customer specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli counter and surrounding areas, adhering to health and safety regulations. Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to ensure quality standards are met. Operate deli equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers, scales, and packaging machines. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring a positive checkout experience for customers. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and provide excellent service.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
