Responsibilities
Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches according to established recipes and food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and well-maintained.
Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering any questions regarding products.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions accurately.
Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines during food handling and preparation processes.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while maintaining high-quality service.
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation or food service within the restaurant or food industry is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
Basic math skills are necessary for accurate measurement and transaction processing.
Would like to have someone that has a creative mind to assemble deli trays/charcuterie boards etc.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers.
Flexible and early start times are a must.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
