Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our deli section operates efficiently and meets food safety standards. Duties

Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, and sandwiches, ensuring freshness and quality. Serve fresh pasta from the counter. Operate the cash, to process customer transactions accurately. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and making recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the deli and pasta area, adhering to food safety guidelines. Handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and restocking items as necessary. Upsell products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Experience in the restaurant or food industry is desirable. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area.
