Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a key role in ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve deli items including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches with attention to quality and presentation. Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and making recommendations to enhance their experience. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of low inventory items. Upsell products to customers by promoting daily specials and new menu items. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Experience using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
