Job Description

The Deli Clerk is responsible to carry out a variety of duties in a professional, safe, accurate and timely manner. Exceptional customer service is expected, as is working respectfully in a team environment. The Deli Clerk reports directly to the Deli Manager. The successful candidate

MUST

be available for a variety of shifts from 6am until 9pm. The successful candidate is required to be available some (not all) weekends.

Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, OH&S procedures, store policies, programs and initiatives. Assist and answer customer questions and concerns, providing them with a positive shopping experience. Cleaning, tidying, straightening. Washing dishes, fixtures and ovens. Handle, organize and rotate product in accordance with store policy. Slicing meat and serving customers. Sandwich, pizza, tray and dip production. Cooking and serving from hot case. Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Ability to work quickly and independently. Being open to change and new ideas. Availability including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and spend entire shift standing/walking.
No experience necessary, training will be provided to the right candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with previous safe food handling experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
