Job Summary

,We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Deli Assistant Manager, you will be responsible heping the Deli Manager in the day to day operations of a Deli Department, preparing and serving high-quality deli products, maintaining food safety standards, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ordering, stocking and merchandising.

Duties

Prepare and cook deli items according to established recipes and food safety guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions they may have. Supervise and train new team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and tracking stock levels. Collaborate with deli staff to ensure timely preparation of food items during peak hours. Uphold food safety standards in all aspects of food handling and preparation.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques. Experience in supervising or managing teams is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Leadership qualities that promote teamwork and collaboration within the deli department.
